Foliage Finery Product Care Guide
At Foliage Finery, we want your greens and florals to look their absolute best for as long as possible. Each product is handcrafted with care, and proper handling will help you enjoy them to the fullest. Please follow the guidelines below based on your product type.
Fresh Wreaths
Upon arrival, remove your wreath from the box right away and allow it to breathe. Gently fluff any flattened foliage caused by shipping. Hang in a cool, shaded location, away from direct sunlight, heat vents, or fireplaces. Fresh wreaths will naturally dry over time while maintaining beauty for weeks. To extend freshness, mist lightly with water every few days, avoiding any decorative accents.
Fresh Garlands
Unpack garlands immediately and lay them out in a cool, shaded location to relax from shipping. Shake gently to restore shape. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Mist lightly with water to refresh greens, avoiding oversaturation. For outdoor installations, choose shaded or partially shaded areas for maximum longevity.
Fresh Foliage (By the Bunch)
Upon arrival, open the box and remove ties or wraps. Store in a cool, shaded location, ideally in water if stems allow. If arranging, trim stems at an angle and place in fresh water with floral preservative. Refresh water daily. Avoid storing near fruit, as ethylene gas shortens the life of greens.
Fresh Foliage Bouquets
Trim stems at an angle before placing in a vase of fresh, cool water. Make sure stems have room to breathe and aren’t overcrowded. Change water daily and keep away from direct sunlight or heat. Handle delicate greens gently to prevent breakage, especially in mixed arrangements.
Dried Wreaths
Dried wreaths are fragile and meant for long-term enjoyment. Keep indoors, away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat to avoid fading or brittleness. Handle with care, as dried materials can break if bent or crushed. No watering is needed. Dust gently with a soft brush or a hairdryer on cool, low air if needed.
Dried Product Bouquets
Dried bouquets are preserved for lasting beauty and require no watering. Display indoors, away from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent color fading. Handle carefully, as stems and blooms may become more delicate over time. To remove dust, use a gentle air setting on a hairdryer or a feather duster. With proper care, dried bouquets will maintain their charm for years.
